There are many ways you can help!

Here are some of our exciting opportunities:

Snowflake Gala

This event is a spectacular family experience where more than 1,100 guests enjoy a magical evening, including a delicious turkey dinner, silent auction, balloon extravaganza, and family dance. Of course putting on an event of this scale requires a lot of support, and we rely on the dedication of more than 300 volunteers to help with many of the activities including pre-event administration, set-up and take-down, auction and balloon sales, guest registration, children's activities, and the building and painting of numerous decorations. For the latest info on Snowflake Gala, visit here!

Corus Radiothon

Corus Radiothon is a two-day live radio broadcast that raises funds for the Foundation. This event requires more than 300 volunteers to fill phone bank shifts, take telephone donations, verify and process pledges, and many other activities. For the freshest transmissions on Radiothon, visit here!

Mother's Day Run & Walk

The Mother's Day Run & Walk takes place in May every year to raise funds for the Stollery. Participants take part in either a 5 km walk, or a 5 km or 10 km run. More than 120 energetic volunteers are needed to fill a variety of positions for this event. Positions include site set up and tear down, athlete registration, volunteer registration, aid station monitors, start/ finish line crews, food and beverage servers, information booth monitors, and race kit stuffing and pick up. Cotton Club Edmonton

"A Night at the Cotton Club" transports guests to the fabled Harlem cabaret of 1928 complete with great music, incredible food and above all, excellent entertainment. In the 1920s and 30s, the Cotton Club was the place to be for performers, the influential, the famous, and the most notorious of New York's elite. Presented by RE/MAX and Marriott in support of the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation, it is not to be missed. Find out more about Cotton Club here.

Office Administration

Occasionally throughout the year the Foundation needs volunteers to help with general office tasks like processing pledges, stuffing envelopes, data entry, and preparing and delivering information packages. This work is on an on-call basis and may require access to a vehicle.

Dr. PatchUp

Dr. PatchUp is a very friendly bear with a very busy schedule! We are always looking for volunteers to wear our mascot costume at the many special events where Dr. PatchUp is invited to come and play. Being Dr. PatchUp is a great way to support the image of the Foundation. It's a fun way to be imaginative, outgoing and energetic . . . and a great excuse for clowning around!

Community Initiatives

In addition to the Foundation's own signature events, we also support many community fundraisers throughout the year. Community fundraisers are put on by corporations and individuals in the community, with part or all of the proceeds designated for the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation. Many community fundraisers require volunteers in a variety of areas.
