The future of children’s health is in your backyard

Your generosity, whether you’ve made a donation, volunteered your time or attended one of our many fundraising events, is making a life-changing difference for kids and their families from backyards across Alberta.

You – our supporters – are the reason we’re able to fund the most urgent needs and long-term goals of the Stollery Children’s Hospital. Here are just a few examples of the vital impact you made in children’s health in 2017-18:

Because of you, we provided $3.1 million to help open a new Stollery pediatric cardiac intensive care unit at the Mazankowski Heart Institute in Edmonton.

Because of you, we invested more than $753,000 in the Awasisak Indigenous Health program, which is expanding its outreach programs to more Indigenous communities across northern Alberta.

Because of you, we gave more than $1 million to help make Edmonton the home of Canada’s first Newborn Individualized Developmental Care and Assessment Program training centre, placing the Stollery Children’s Hospital at the leading edge of neonatal care.

In recognition of our commitment to the highest standards of accountability, transparency and governance, we achieved Imagine Canada accreditation this year – making us one of only two dozen registered charities in Alberta with this prestigious designation.
