Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation launches 7th Annual Lottery with over 2,000 prizes valued at $3.4M
EDMONTON — The Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation officially launched its Mighty Millions Lottery today!
With net proceeds from this year’s lottery projected to exceed $3 million, ticket purchasers will help to fund the Stollery Children’s Hospital’s most urgent needs: from ground – breaking research, projects and training programs, to specialized pediatric equipment to advance physical and mental health care for kids and youth across Alberta.
“The Stollery Children’s Hospital provides expert care to kids and families from backyards across Alberta—37 per cent of Stollery kids come from outside the Edmonton area,” says Mike House, president and CEO of the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation. “Kids don’t choose when they need the Stollery, but you can choose to be mighty by buying a ticket and investing in the future of kids from across Alberta.” House adds the Stollery is the most specialized children’s hospital in Western Canada. Annually the Stollery has over 317,000 patient visits and performs 12,175 surgeries on kids from backyards across Alberta – and beyond.
Headlining this year’s prize package is a stunning $2.5 million Grand Prize Showhome located in the The Banks at Keswick. Custom-built by Birkholz Homes, this beautiful 5,800 square foot home is situated on a 15,000 square foot lot and features four bedrooms, six bathrooms and multiple outdoor living spaces for the entire family to enjoy.
