Stollery Story Squad
Our Stollery Story Squad program gives families the opportunity to share their Stollery experience, say thank you and spread the word about the life-changing work being done at the Hospital. Meet some of our Squad members in the stories below!
Jordan loves going on new adventures, swimming and dreaming about visiting Paris one day. As Jordan’s condition continues to progress and her mobility is taken away, she remains optimistic with an inspiring smile.
George likes to explore outdoors, be silly and spend time with his family and dogs. After having two heart transplants, spending more than 250 days in the Hospital before turning four and countless pokes and procedures, George has shown resilience through his kind, humorous and happy personality.
Rylan loves performing, entertaining and playing video games with his buddies. Instead of focusing on the things he can’t do, Rylan focuses on all that he can do, while genuinely and confidently loving who he is.
Ben loves playing Xbox, basketball and street hockey. And through all the tough stuff his cancer treatment brought, from needles to nose tubes, you rarely see Ben without a smile on his face.
Aaryan loves everything about soccer. He loves cheering for the Liverpool Football Club with his dad, but he loves playing soccer with his dad even more. Thanks to the expert care he received at the Stollery Children’s Hospital, Aaryan doesn’t just dream about goals — he gets to make them.
Elijah loves hockey, football, basketball and hanging out with his friends. Thanks to the expert cardiac care he received at the Stollery Children’s Hospital, he gets to play the sports that he loves.
Emmy loves playing with her friends, her little brother Jeremy and Dr. Bear — otherwise known as Dr. PatchUp! After multiple orthopedic surgeries and three full-body casts, Emmy continues to defy the odds and find the fun everywhere she goes.
Ryder is all about hockey – from playing with his hockey team in Drayton Valley, to cheering for the Edmonton Oilers. Thanks to the expert care he received at the Stollery Children’s Hospital, Ryder gets to eat chicken wings to his heart’s content.
