Meet Finley
Finley loves to sing, make art, play board games and snowboard! After being born with cystic fibrosis and later being diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver, Finley received a liver transplant at the Stollery that saved his life.

ShowFinley has been receiving treatments for cystic fibrosis his whole life, but that was not the end of his health challenges. In 2022, his cystic fibrosis team discovered that he had cirrhosis of the liver.
He was sent from his hometown in Cranbrook, BC, to Edmonton in July of that year to be assessed, and he was put on the liver transplant list shortly after. For nine long months, Finley and his family were on-call to receive a liver as he got sicker and sicker.
On March 4, 2023, they got the call, and Finley was taken by plane to Edmonton from Cranbrook. Just one day later, he underwent a 10-hour surgery to receive a new liver and new hope for a healthy life. During his two and a half months recovering in the Hospital, Finley found comfort in singing with his music therapist and creating art.
Now, Finley is doing amazingly well. He’s enjoyed skiing, snowboarding, hiking and visiting the beach again — he dreams of being a marine biologist. Thanks to the world-class team at the Stollery Children’s Hospital, Finley’s back to being a kid again.
