Meet Jess

Dr. Foulds is a pediatrician, associate professor and program director for general pediatrics at the Stollery, looking after patients admitted to the Hospital under the general pediatrics team.

She is a part of the patient’s journey from admission in the emergency room to discharge and works as part of a team with residents, medical students, dietitians, pharmacists and the bedside care team, all part of the Clinical Teaching Unit (CTU).

When she is not working on the wards at the Stollery, Dr. Foulds oversees the General Pediatrics Residency Training Program, helping to develop the next generation of pediatricians.

In her spare time, she loves baking, running, ultimate frisbee and being outside hiking.

Let’s learn more about Jess:

What do you like most about your job?

The people! The kids (from babies to adolescents), the many people I get to work with each and every day and the learners who inspire me and keep me thinking!

Do you have a personal connection to the Stollery?

I have two young kids and have made good use of the emergency room — for scrapes in need of more than just bandages (Dermabond) and my son received stitches at the Stollery under the handiwork of Dr. William Craig. It was definitely eye opening to be on the receiving end of the amazing Stollery care (and it was literally eye opening for my son who needed stitches all around his eye!).

Have donor funds impacted the area you work in?

I have loved being part of Heart Heroes Camp and the generosity of donations to the Little Heart Heroes Fund help make that possible for the awesome kids there.

What is your favourite kid’s book?

Julia Donaldson had some big hits in our household, especially The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom. Now as my kids are a bit older, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings has been super fun to read with my kids.

Thanks to your support, Stollerific staff like Dr. Jess Foulds are making a life-changing difference for the kids and families who rely on the Stollery’s world-class care. You can continue to support our specialized care by donating today.
