Did you know that each year, the Stollery’s multiple neonatal intensive care units respond to as many as 2,226 of the tiniest patients, some the size of a cell phone?
Last year, 33 per cent of neonates came from outside the Edmonton area. Thanks to the Stollery Children’s Hospital’s expanding network of care, the Stollery has neonatal intensive care units across three hospitals, including the David Schiff Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Walter C. Mackenzie Health Sciences Centre, the Stollery Philip C. Etches Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, located at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, and the Stollery NICU at the Sturgeon Community Hospital.
