Why we're accredited
The Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation is one of a small group of charities in Alberta with the Imagine Canada designation.
Of the more than 170,000 charities and non-profits in Canada, the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation is in an elite group of 275 charities accredited by Imagine Canada.
Just a small number of charities and non-profits are designated in Alberta with the Imagine Canada Standards Program. The Standards Program’s mission is to strengthen Canadian charities and non-profits so they can better serve individuals and communities in Canada and around the world. Accreditation is awarded to charities and non-profits that excel in the following five areas:
- Board governance
- Financial accountability and transparency
- Fundraising
- Staff management
- Volunteer involvement
This designation confirms our commitment to the highest standards of accountability, transparency and governance.
